Ward Boundaries
The city council finds that since the boundaries of the city's five wards were last changed, there has been rapid growth in population in the various wards. (Ord. 978 §1, 1993; Ord. 1239 §1, 1997)
The purpose of this chapter is to change the boundaries of the various wards in compliance with section 4.2 of the Charter. (Ord. 978 §1, 1993; Ord. 1239 §1, 1997)

The location and boundaries of the five wards established by this chapter are shown upon the "Municipal Election Map of The City and County of Broomfield" attached to Ordinance No. 1919 and incorporated into this chapter by reference. The map, together with everything shown thereon and all amendments thereto, shall be made a part of this chapter as if fully set forth and described herein. Each change in the official map shall be subject to the amendment procedures required for ordinances. The official map shall be signed by the mayor or mayor pro tem and attested by the city clerk. A copy of the official map is on file with the city clerk and is available for public inspection in the office of the city clerk during regular city business hours. 4-06-010 Write-in candidate affidavit.![]()
No write-in vote for any municipal office shall be counted unless an affidavit of intent has been filed with the city clerk by the person whose name is written in no later than 5:00 p.m. twenty days before the day of the election indicating that such person desires the office and is qualified to assume the duties of that office if elected.
